I have Office installed on two computers. One computer started asking if I wanted to try a free trial of , which I declined. It tells me it cannot activate the product code, or that the product code is already in use if I type it in manually. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Office via my account – no luck. I did not do the original installation myself. I see two computers when I log into my account, but only one product code, which is not the same as the product slip stuck to the side of the problematic computer.
Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. You cannot use the Product Key to reinstall Office. It can only be used once to install first time. Then reinstall from your Office Account. Each version of office WAS originally activated with their own activation code. It tells me the product code doesn’t work, and running a repair didn’t solve the problem, nor did an online repair, nor a full unistall and re-install.
The free trial of is not visible under programs in control panel so I assume it is not the problem. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.
